Our St. Patrick's Day Finale!

A Surprise Visitor?

Well, well, well....what do we have here??  A visitor maybe?

Hmmmm....I don't know kids...looks suspicious!

It's ok everyone...Princess is going to check it out for us!  She is so brave!

Princess checks it out for us...

OK...come on in everyone!  Coast looks clear.

Princess Kitty thanks for being on the front line!

Oh!  Watch out Papa and Nana see the culprit!

Quick!!!...get into action everyone!

Nana and Papa are shocked at the sight!

Look over there!  There he is!  The Leprechaun himself!  He left this trail of gold dust clear out to the front porch!  What was he thinking?

This Leprechaun must have gotten out of our trap!  He is so sneaky!

Look at him there...seems he may be mocking us?

He loves the Gold Coin Inn!  His favorite part was the gold coins we hid inside!  They were filled with chocolate!

Oh silly little Leprechaun!  You are so funny and handsome!  We will get you next year for sure!

Nana and Papa with the Leprechaun trapped in the Gold Coin Inn!  Hehe!

We had a wonderful time talking to the children about the Leprechaun!  How funny he is!  The kids got such a kick out of this surprise on Green Day!

Nana showing the kids how he went inside to eat the gold coins!

Nana and Papa supplied all the great St. Patrick's Day socks for our little piggies!

Such adorable sockies!

Here we are happy lads and lassies!

Our celebration continued with food!  Food glorious food!

Some Jello shamrocks!  Four boxes of lime Jello and 2 1/2 cups hot water.  Pour half into a 9x13 inch pan.  Chill until well set.  Use shamrock cutter to cut them and then place dish in hot water to loosen the Jello.  Use spatula to remove from pan.  I had to have my husband do this because I had NO patience after I broke the first shamrock!  Sit on wax paper and return to fridge.  The kids loved them!

And of course Princess Kitty Girl had to join the action!  She loved the Watergate Salad the best!  LOL!

Boiled parsley potatoes!  Fresh parsley of course!

Good old cabbage and noodles.  For sure this is best made by my husband.  LOL!

And here it is...this is the final plate!  And of course it wouldn't be a great feast if we didn't forget something in the microwave like Gram used to!  This year it was the cauliflower with mayonnaise and cheese sauce.  Don't worry it didn't go to waste!  We ate it for dinner the next day!

Menu:
Beef roast
Cooked carrots
Parsley Potatoes
Haluski
Celery sticks
Watergate salad
Moms frozen fruit treat

I will say the Watergate salad is made with Jello brand pistachio pudding mix.  We found the recipe on Kraft's website!  You can get to it here.

If you have any questions on the other recipes we used please let me know!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
