Still celebrating!

Love is in the air!

We had a wonderful Valentine's dinner yesterday. Complete with this new wonderful tea from Republic of Tea. This was the perfect tea to have with our chocolate cupcakes!  We buy our Republic of Tea from our local Giant Eagle Market District in Bethel Park.

Happy Valentine's Day Y'all!!

We celebrated Valentine's Day today and cupid brought the love to our home!

The lovely tablescape design for this year.

The tablecloth is pink Kate Spade but the lighting is not great.

This is a more true color for the linens.

Side table decor!  Absolutely lovely!

Dining room is ready for guests.

We had a delicious salad from Olive Garden.  It's such a great salad and to make one on our own would be silly when they are the experts!  It comes with 12 bread sticks and a bottle of their famous dressing!  OK, moving on then, main entree was spaghetti with red or white sauce and meatballs.  Homemade meatballs, yes Papa's decadent meatballs, I have no idea how he makes these but wow we are thankful for those meatballs!

Dinner with our friends Mickey and Sherle

Dinner followed by desserts, desserts, desserts!

Angel food cake with fresh strawberries, gingerbread hearts, and chocolate thumbprints-a new family favorite!

The kids all had personalized gingerbread!

Fresh strawberries and the favor bags in the background.

Angel food cake...yum!

Homemade gingerbread cookies!  Notice some of them are Tennessee with the heart at Pigeon Forge!

Chocolate Thumbprints from the Amish Friends Cookbook

Desserts and favors!

The children having a wonderful time at their own table!

Jackson enjoyed the spaghetti and garlic breadsticks!

Beautiful Valentine Princesses!

The handsome Valentines!

We hope you had a beautiful day!!

Happy Valentines Day Wreath

Love is in the cold Pennsylvania air!

Check out this awesome Valentine argyle wreath we made today.

We got some inspiration from Pinterest. But we created our own look for this cheeky Valentine. Using a chunky grey yarn and white sparkle yarn we were able to capture the look of sophistication in this wreath.

We cut out felt hearts in red and white. You could use any colors you like really! Make it your own!

Pin and share our design with your friends!

We hope you enjoy making this wreath.  It is so pretty in our dining room!

I am so excited!

My first year to grow purple crocuses!

This is still a new blog for me! I have fiddled and fooled around for ages before getting this blog started! Life sometimes gets in the way of the best intentions.
So, here I am with a brand new blog. I have read the blogs I love daily for a year now and I know that it will take a long time before I can figure out how to make mine even remotely as interesting. But, I will be trying!

Since Christmas is over and we are into the new year, I want to tell you a bit about myself. I am married for 45 years to my husband John, a Mama to two perfect daughters and Nana to The Fabulous Five-two girls and three boys. Life is fabulous with them around! I live in a state I don't want to live in so I can be near them-ha! I am a Southern girl living too far north! But, the season I love is coming soon! We have had very unusual weather and it has been very warm. All the spring flowers have sprung, looked gorgeous and were eaten by adorable bunnies the next evening! I took a few photos though. I have learned that they don't seem to like my daffodils so I guess I won't be buying crocuses again!  I wish I knew what else they would eat so I could leave them a note begging them not to touch my flowers and offer them a plate of food instead. That being said, I really enjoy seeing them frolic on the lawn in the early evenings. *smile*
